FAQ

Experience

Q1. Are there age or height restrictions?
Young children's heads are often too small to wear the VR headset properly, and the headset's weight may also be too heavy for them. Therefore, children under 110 cm are not recommended to participate. Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult who purchases a Parent-Child Ticket.

Q2. How long does the experience take?
The whole process, from check-in to the end of the experience, takes about 60 minutes. The headset is worn for about 40 minutes.

Q3. Is there a dress code?
Because you will be wearing a VR headset, please do not wear hats or beanies. Comfortable clothing and shoes that are easy to move in are recommended. To protect the special sensor-tracking paper in the exhibition space, please avoid high heels and other sharp footwear.

Q4. Can people who wear glasses take part?
Yes. Staff will help you adjust the headset. Standard prescription lenses work fine, but other types, such as progressive multifocal lenses, may affect the image quality. For the best experience, we recommend wearing contact lenses.

Q5. Can I remain seated during the experience?
This 40-minute VR experience is designed as a walking exploration, with the video guiding you as you move. Visitors with limited mobility should consider their physical condition before purchasing tickets. Wheelchairs are available to borrow at the venue if needed, but quantities are limited.

Q6. Can I take photos or videos?
You are welcome to take photos for personal use before and after the VR experience. You cannot take photos during the experience because you will be wearing the headset. Our staff will take a few photos of your experience for you to keep as a souvenir. These photos are only for you to download and will not be made public.

Q7. Can I leave partway through the experience?

Once the experience begins, it cannot be paused. If you need to step out briefly, our staff can help you remove the headset. However, because the experience keeps running, you will miss whatever plays while you are away, much like leaving a movie theater during a film. We strongly recommend using the restroom before you enter.

Q8. Is narration available in other languages?
The VR narration is available in Chinese, English, and French. Some staff can give the pre-experience briefing in English. However, staffing varies depending on on-site conditions, so we cannot guarantee English assistance. We appreciate your understanding.

Q9. What does the experience involve?

Once visitors put on the VIVE XR headset, they set off from Asteroid B612 and are free to move around the exhibition space, journeying at their own pace across the desert and through a series of planets, each carrying its own meaning. Classic characters from The Little Prince, including the Rose, the Fox and the Pilot, also appear along the way in immersive form. Through spatial positioning, physical movement and interactive design, visitors follow the Little Prince through his encounters, farewells and choices, turning a story and emotions that once lived only on the page into an experience they can take part in firsthand. With HTC's multiplayer immersive free-roam system, we want visitors to truly step into the Little Prince's world. Our hope is that technology does more than recreate scenes: it should let every visitor genuinely feel the emotion and wonder of the story. The Taiwan premiere of The Little Prince continues HTC's commitment to "walk-into-the-story" immersive experiences, bringing this beloved literary classic to Taiwanese audiences in a more interactive and vivid form.

Q10. What makes this experience special?

Unlike VR films you watch sitting down with no way to interact, this exhibition uses HTC VIVE's world-leading LBE (Location-Based Entertainment) large-space tracking technology to follow your every step across a large physical venue and mirror your real movements in the virtual world. Put on the headset, and the floor beneath your feet becomes the Little Prince's planet. Walk around freely, reach out to interact with characters up close, and team up with family and friends as you travel side by side on a 35-minute journey among the stars.

Tickets

Q1. How do companions or caregivers book tickets?
Companions or caregivers of pregnant women (6 months or more) and seniors aged 70 and above must purchase a separate ticket. People with disabilities and children aged 12 and under may purchase Concession Tickets, and their companions are also eligible for a discounted rate of NT$640 per person.

Q2. Can I eat or drink in the exhibition area?
Eating and drinking are not allowed during the experience. You may leave your food and drinks on the beverage rack in the reception area.

Q3. Can I buy tickets on-site?
Yes. However, each session has a limited number of participants, so we recommend booking in advance online to secure your preferred time slot. On-site ticket availability depends on what remains from online sales and cannot be guaranteed. (Weekday sessions are less crowded, and on-site tickets are generally available for every session.)

Q4. Can I change my ticket time or get a refund?
Purchased tickets cannot be changed directly to a different date or time slot. To make a change, please request a refund first and then book again. Refunds may be requested up to 3 days before the experience date, with a 10% handling fee. Refunds are not available within 3 days of the experience date or for no-shows.

Q5. What time should I arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. If you arrive after your session time, your ticket will no longer be valid and cannot be exchanged. For example, for a 10:15 session, please check in between 10:00 and 10:15. If you have not checked in by 10:15, you will not be admitted, and no waitlist or refund will be provided.

Q6. Can a ticket be shared?
Each order generates one unique QR code. Once a ticket has been scanned and used, it cannot be used again.

Q7. Do I need to print my ticket if I bought it online?
No. Simply show your QR code on-site to check in.

Q8. Can I re-enter on the same day?
No. Each ticket is valid for a single entry only, and the experience cannot be paused. Once you leave, your experience is considered over. (We recommend using the restroom before entering.)

Health

Q1. Can virtual reality make people feel unwell?
People prone to motion sickness may experience dizziness or headaches. People with claustrophobia may also feel uncomfortable.

Q2. Can people with heart conditions or epilepsy take part?
This is not recommended. People with heart conditions or epilepsy may not participate without a doctor's approval.

Q3. Can people with limited mobility take part?
Yes. To keep participants safe and reduce the risk of falls, visitors with limited mobility should use a cane, walker, or wheelchair. Wheelchair users must be pushed by a companion. (Wheelchairs are available to borrow on-site, but quantities are limited.)

Q4. Can people with hearing impairments take part?
The experience includes voice narration only, with no subtitles. It is therefore not recommended for people with hearing impairments.

Q5. Can I take part if I wear a hearing aid?
Yes. The headset has built-in mini speakers that deliver sound close to your ears, so you can keep using your hearing aid.

Q6. Can I bring a baby in my arms or in a stroller?
Generally, no. Neither wearing the equipment nor the immersive environment is suitable for holding a baby or pushing a stroller.

Q7. Are pets or guide dogs allowed?
The experience uses multi-user tracking technology. For safety reasons, pets and service animals, including guide dogs, are not allowed.
